I have traveled a long and eventful journey in this lifetime, having worked as a summer day camp director, a financial analyst on Wall Street, a Hollywood Agent Trainee, a real estate developer, and as an indie filmmaker. Through it all my wanderlust would not be denied.
Ten times I have driven cross country and twice trekked across India while living in an ashram high up in the Himalayas. In Jaipur, snake charming was a lot more fun than morning meditation at 4 am. I have spent decades studying Taoism, Buddhism, and Hinduism and have toured the country as an author and motivational speaker about overcoming adversity. And all of my years of exploration have led me back to one simple insight - we all just want to be Happy.
You don’t have to "wait for it", you don’t even have to "earn it". You just have to wade neck deep into whatever makes you Happy. Swim around. Stay awhile. Life will always take effort, but choosing to be ever present in what makes you Happy will make your Life infinitely more enjoyable every step of the way. So whether your Happy is a whale watching lookout point in Malibu like mine, or your favorite activity... be kind to yourself. And wear your Happy every day. Life is a ton more fun when you do, because you should Always Happy Your Way Through life.
